Never Ever

Chloe, dear sweet Chloe has never been a great sleeper. She hasn't even been a good sleeper. Naps are brief and far between. Add in a fever and a cold and all heck breaks loose. For the past two nights Chloe has one or two wake-ups and general fussiness. Last night was brutal. For some reason the Motrin I gave her for fever wired her and she ran around the living room for hours after bedtime. At 10:30 I locked her in her high chair in front of the TV with a snack. She contentedly jabbered at Baby Mozart for 30 mins or so and then wanted up. I got her to sleep on the couch around 11:15. Then I put her in her bed. I did not expect to see her until morning. Chloe had other plans. At some point she woke up feverish again and came to sleep in our bed. She slept, I didn't. Between feet in my back and a hand slapping my face, slumber alluded me. So at 4 am when I awoke yet again to see Chloe standing over me, I gave up and went back to the living room. We ate a sandwich and watched more TV. Eventually she fell asleep again. She did not leave me much room but I think I still dozed off briefly. We were back up with the sun and let's just say Chloe's mood (and mine for that matter) is directly affected by the lack of zzzzz's. Here's hoping her first nap of the day helps one of us out.

I Love......

that I can see without a doubt that their Daddy loves Finley and Chloe and they adore him. In the last few days a new game has been invented in our house. It is called "Who's my Little Buddy?" Finley will position herself across the room from her Daddy and wait for him to say: "Who's my little buddy? Come here little buddy." At this point she will run full throttle at him, giggling all the way. She jumps into his lap with panache and they hug. She then runs off to do it again and again and again and again. Chloe also gets to play similar game called "Who's my little cheerleader?"

Trying to get better photos?

I was surfing around and found a great idea here so I grabbed my camera. I turned the dial off of automatic and began snapping pics left and right. I learned a very valuable lesson though. If you want great photos, don't use a quick 15 month old as your subject. Use a bowl of fruit!

Who Are You?

If you stop by, leave a comment. Let me know if you like what you see. Do you want more/ less videos? More pictures, less writing? I want to please my public and if you don't give me feedback, I'm flying blind. Help a girl out. And for all those people who may discover us by chance, drop me a line and come out of the shadows and tell me how cute my kids are already. It won't hurt, not even a little bit.

Post 124 aka Wild Hairs

This is post #124 on the blog. Not really significant because of the number but it is important because it is announcing big changes in the Scott household.

I know what you are thinking.

Wait for the special announcement just a bit longer.

Worried yet?

Pick your jaws up and breathe---THERE ARE NO NEW BABIES COMING!!!!

What is happening?

We started demo/ remodeling the office today. That is all. Go back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I will post pics later.

First Birthday of the Year!

We had the honor of hosting the first family birthday of the year for our super dog Reesee. She turned the big "1" yesterday so it was imperative we go over the top, as we do for all our kids. Reesee was quite excited to have her homemade peanut butter carrot cake with peanut butter frosting. Finley enjoyed her Popsicle and Chloe inhaled a bag of animal crackers. It was a fun time and we are all blessed to have such a wonderful dog in our family! We love you Reesee-poochy-puppers!

Curb Appeal

After putting plants in months ago, Jeremy and I finally got around to finishing what we started. I think that we are definitely on the right track and it really does look great. We have a few more areas that we are going to add stuff to and a couple more outside improvements like a swing set we hope to accomplish this year.
