I did it! I did it!

I finally figured out what I was missing and got it finished. Thanks again to Here a Scrap There a Scrap for the wonderful digital magic called Think Spring! What do ya'll think?

All Over the Map

This post will be tidbits and tadbits from the last few days weeks whatever. First things first, I have re-done my blog yet again and have a fancy new header. What's that? You are still seeing the old one that no longer matches? That's because I cannot remember how to change that part even though I have now done it twice.

Today I told Finn "I was really really pooped" and she said "No you're not, I don't smell anything". For the record, I do not poop in my pants.

I have been spending way too much time refreshing this blog as I have worried about the health of a sweet little baby.

The girls have been in full-on drive me crazy make me love them more mode and we have been hanging out a lot. The lazy days of spring are upon us.

I am going to come back with pictures tomorrow for here and my photo challenge. More more updates are coming. Pinky swear!

For dinner tonight is something I have not had in ages. I know that it will not be quite piping hot but can anybody give me a huge hip hip hooray for Papa Johns Pizza? Alright I will scream by myself! I am so excited.

B is for Busy!

Long post coming maybe but for now (since I know Ms. Polly will want to know what we have been up too), our time away was fantastic. Finn, Coco, and I had lots of chances to play with cousins, eat junk, and get very little sleep. The girls are sick. Since we have been home, we also had a huge yard sale where I was happy to be rid of some junk and get some extra cash. I will add pictures later, both here and at simply snapped. Check back okey-dokey!

A Huge Deal

We celebrated another one of those parenting milestones today. I finally decided that the girls HAD to have haircuts. Except for the random knot we have had to cut out of Chloe's hair (thank you Miss Twister), neither girl has had scissors to scalp. I chickened out of getting a whole new 'do and just got them a good trim.

Because I'm Lazy

I have posted 2 slideshows of just the best pictures. We have been outside a LOT this week and I have been rather snap-happy. I tried to explain some of what was going on but to clear things up:

---where Finn is jumping off the porch and I wrote "In Vinegar and Beyond" she meant to say "To infinity and beyond"

---Chloe was crying because she turned on the water feature to their playhouse and without water it grinds loudly so she got scared

---I do know I did not spell some things correctly

---the slideshow of all Finn pictures, she was standing on one foot, trying to snap and clap, and fell over. I laughed hard and was thankful for the fast action mode on my camera. What is 17(?) pictures took all of 4 seconds to transpire. If you need a laugh, ask a preschooler to do what she did.

*******and at some point this weekend I will be updating my photochallenge pictures so stay tuned***************

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

So here goes my very first (and maybe last) Not Me! Monday!

I did not jump a hundred times in the woods of a local state park because every twig looked like a snake. I also definitely did not contemplate whether or not I could find my way out on the well marked trails carrying two kids and a dead snake because I knew I would get bitten. That would be uncool, so nope, not me.

I also did not photograph my kid tasting a pine cone. I am also not including the series of pictures so you can see if she liked it. Not the type of mom I am.

I did not take a sick child into a drugstore under the guise of getting juice just so I could pick up a few good deals. I also did not plan out 4 different transactions so I could maximize rebates. Nope. Most definitely not me.

I did not earn another parenting badge when I had to administer my first suppository. I also did not gag or wish myself away while I was doing it. Nope, not me at all.

I did not want to hoard a pan of brownies with cream cheese icing. I freely shared large portions with everyone I saw. I also did not send my husband to the store to get me Munchies and Cheetos as payback for being left with a sick kid. He was tired and that would have been cruel. So it didn't happen.

I also did not try to watch Thursday's episode of ER on Tivo while my 3 1/2 yr old was awake and on the couch with me just because I could not take another happy ending princess movie. Or another viewing of a certain bear who is afraid of heffalumps. Not me.

So there you have it. Little old me trying to be really truly honest! Oh and I would definitely not post these two pictures because they might be embarrassing to those in them. Not something I would ever do.

What an Almost Week!

Since my last post on Wednesday, a mere 5 days ago, things have been wild, wacky and oh so unpredictable. The weather was unseasonably warm for February and so the girls and I headed to a nearby state park for a hike in the woods. I was such a good mom, I even let them collect treasures.

We had a pretty good time but the afternoon quickly went downhill. We (meaning me as I get the brunt of her antics since I'm always home) have had a hard time with Miss Finn lately. There have been bouts of defiance, sweetness, and a lot of loud screaming at sleep time. Tempers have been short and it reached a pinnacle when I called Granna to the rescue. A little time away from each other and things were better. Until Thursday morning that is. That's when we were visited by stomach virus 2009. Again, Granna to the rescue as I sent Chloe away to hopefully spare her what Finn had (which I'm guessing was the reason she was so unhappy Wednesday--she was coming down with it). All day Thursday I held Finn's head, a bucket, and stayed close to her on the couch.

how I found Finn asleep at one point Thursday

toast and very watered down juice kept her happy

feeling better

Chloe was well cared for by ALL occupants of the gray house until Saturday morning when we felt it was safe for her to return. Then it turned really cold so we have cocooned ourselves and watched movies and played games most of the weekend. I am really hoping this next week is very uneventful here in Scottland.
